Rehearsal schedule for Fragments, April - November 2018

Choir Workshops and Rehearsals
In response to popular demand, we are offering voluntary extra note-crunching sessions for anyone who would like to come, both during the summer break and between the fortnightly autumn rehearsals. Many thanks to Simon for taking some of these, and to Chrissie and Keith for being our pianists!
Simon may be able to offer some additional sessions - we'll keep you posted. If you can't make it to these, don't worry - keep on practising with the website
The list below contains all the regular rehearsals
(in bold) as well as the extras. See the end of
the list for how to get to the venues.
NB: the fortnightly rehearsals for everyone from 7th
September are in Carhampton Recreation Centre (Rec)

Emily & Elizabeth's house:
We're at The Cottage, Main Road, Carhampton. As before, you can park in the Village Hall (not the Rec!) then just turn right out of the gateway, walk down High Street, turn left onto Carantoc Place and immediately right into the open gateway (with signs for The Willows on one side of it and The Cottage on the other). Then walk past the 'barn'/woodstore (open-fronted garage) and down through the garden, right through the conservatory and into the house - don't knock - we won't hear you!
St Andrew's church, Minehead:
This is the church next to Wellington Square, on the corner of Friday Street and Minehead Parade. There is plentiful parking in the town.
Carhampton Rec (Recreation Centre):
This is where we had the 9th June workshop. Coming from the Minehead direction, turn left just after the village shop into the Rec car park. Coming from the Williton direction, turn right into the car park just before the traffic lights. There is lots of space for parking - please park in the section round to the right unless you have limited mobility.
Minehead Avenue Methodist Church:
The church is half way down Minehead Parade (the main street) on the left. There is a long-stay car park nearby (entrance on North Road - see HERE - for a location map). There is also free roadside parking on Blenheim Road, very close to the church.

Orchestral Workshops and Rehearsals
Dear lovely Fragments orchestra here is the
CORRECTED SCHEDULE...!
It was really good to see how far we've come at the
9th June workshop, BUT there's still
a long way to go to get it right for the performance.
SO there are THREE EXTRA REHEARSALS
Sat 18th August 10-1 pm and
NB correction this is now right!!!!
Sat 25th August 9-12 pm (note different time) and
Sat September 29th 10-1 pm
I know not everyone will be able to come to all rehearsals but it would be really really good if you can come if possible. It will make the difference between "a very good effort" and a really good performance. New works are hard stuff but the extra practice will be well worth it.
So here is your new rehearsal schedule, taking you right up to the performance on Saturday 10th November.
NB: All rehearsals until November will be at Carhampton Village Hall. Please note - this is not the same venue as Carhampton Recreation Centre, where we had the whole-day workshop on 9th June.
To get to the Village Hall, turn up High Street opposite Carhampton Stores: the hall is about two thirds of the way up on the left. There is plentiful parking space in the car park.
